Association of Turkic Animation

Association of Turkic Animation (ATA) at the Annecy Festival and MIFA

The Association of Turkic Animation (ATA) and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY) will be represented with a joint stand at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival's MIFA market, held in Annecy, France, from June 9-15.


ATA’s delegation to Annecy and MIFA market consists of ATA’s chairperson Oktai Iusibov (Azerbaijan) and ATA’ working group Anita Chernykh (Kaakhstan), Rashid Aghamaliyev (Azerbaijan) and Serdar Durdiyyev (Turkmenistan).


Also, Azerbaijan Animation Association members attend Annecy festival and MIFA market: Elchin Hami Akhundov, Nazrin Agamaliyeva (ANIMAFILM Studio) and Shahin Aliyev (Dynamic Box).


At the stand, animation products, projects, associations, and festivals from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey will be presented. The “Animation of Turkic Countries 2024” catalog will also be among the products displayed at the stand. You can download the catalog from here.


It should be noted that this project is being carried out within the framework of the “Creative Azerbaijan” program for the development of the creative industry, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY), with additional support from the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.


The acceptance of animation works for inclusion in the “Animation of Turkic Countries 2024” catalog took place from April 27 to May 10. Out of more than 90 projects submitted, 50 were deemed suitable for the catalog's criteria. Among these are 5 feature films in the preparation stage, 11 short films in the preparation stage, 8 series in the preparation stage, 14 released short films, and 12 released series.
