On June 3-4, the "Tashkent Game & Animation Fest 2024" International Festival was held in Tashkent with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan. The event, of strategic importance, aimed to develop an innovative, creative economy in Uzbekistan and engage the young generation in the gaming and animation industry both locally and internationally.

The Animation Day within the festival was marked by interesting events: presentations from Uzbek animation studios, a lecture by Matthew Lyon (Canada) on "Personal Growth in the Creative Profession," a talk by Iuriy Stepanov (Canada) on "The Work of an Animation Studio in Canada," Pavel Potyokhin’s "How to Pitch a Project," Michael Morris’s (USA) "Storyboard and Virtual Studio," and presentations by Konstantin Bronzit (Russia). The showcase of co-production animation projects and the presentation by the Turkish Animation Association (ATA) were particularly noteworthy.

During the festival, Oktai Yusibov (Finland, Azerbaijan), the chairman of the Turkish Animation Association (ATA), spoke about the association's activities during his presentation. He congratulated the audience and organizers on the well-organized festival, expressed his gratitude, and wished success to Turkish animation. The speeches by the association's working group members, including Kayrat Mukanov (Kazakhstan), Rashid Aghamaliev (Azerbaijan), Azizbek Muhamedov (Uzbekistan), and Pavel Kim (Uzbekistan), were warmly received by the festival guests.

In the presentation of co-production animation projects, "Magic Carpet" (Azerbaijan), "In a Tight Time" (Azerbaijan), "Elementary" (Uzbekistan, Canada), "Hidari" (Japan), and "White Cloud" (Russia) were showcased.

The festival was rich with productive meetings, new ideas, the establishment of partnership relations, and the exchange of experiences.
